Crescent Meadow
Elopement
summer 2026
When I first got to chat with Monica, we were not entirely sure the permit was going to be approved. Being shy of three weeks away, and June the start of peak busy season for Sequoia National Park. We crossed our fingers and hoped for the best! The hope was she and Alex would be flying into LA to meet their two best friends, and coming out to elope quietly amongst the towering trees and soft ferns of Crescent Meadow. And that's just what they did. Monica text me absolutely estatic to have been granted their permit. And the planning started.
Monica and Alex drove down and met me for their elopement. She decided to do her first look behind the giant Sentinel Tree area. They got ready individually, and met for their first look. I gave them their countdown to take their first glimpse of one another. It was a magical and incredibly sweet moment watching them take one another in.
We then headed over to Crescent Meadow for an afternoon ceremony. Monica and Alex's ceremony was absolute magic. The meadow still clung to its spring flowers. They were white and yellow covering the meadow floor, wading deep into the dark green ferns. The weather was perfect and everything around them was bright and beautiful. It was absolutely still. Like the whole forest around them was watching. Not a single sound could be heard, just the vows they had wrote for one another.
Alex and Monica were so much fun as they celebrated their union with each other, and their two friends. You could see the love they had for one another. It was written all over their faces, and in their body language as they moved through the forest.
For the ending to a perfect elopement day, Monica and Alex opted to watch the sunset on top of Moro Rock. The climb to the top of Moro is a steep one, and Monica did it in her dress! They were both troopers and stayed hand in hand standing at the top completely in love with one another. They watched the sun dip away slowly with the mountains in the distance on one side turning pink and purple, and an absolutely stunning golden hour on the other.
